‘Arrogant, overrated’, ‘Klopp out’ – Liverpool fans slate boss following Twitter post

Liverpool fans here in the Tavern are disappointed with the Reds’ recent run of results, as their race for a Champions League spot looks to be taking a bad turn.

The Reds have had a month to forget in the minds of Liverpool fans, as two successive defeats had many fearing the worst for Jurgen Klopp’s side. However, they did manage to accumulate nine-points from a possible 12, in a January that saw them break the world’s transfer record for a defender and become the first team to inflict a defeat on Manchester City. Although, a major setback to note down was the loss to Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium, in a game that saw Liverpool’s reliable attack become powerless against the Swans.

Nevertheless, manager Jurgen Klopp has come under heavy fire from some supporters throughout the month, as the German continues to chop and change his line-up with most of the controversy coming from his choices in-between the sticks. Indeed, not the best month by any means for the former Borussia Dortmund manager, but his beloved Reds were still able to make ground in their pledge for a Champions League spot.

Subsequently, the Reds’ Premier League performances within the month of January were enough to put boss Jurgen Klopp up for an award, as Liverpool’s Twitter account let fans know of Klopp’s nomination for the Premier League’s Manager of the Month.

Following the club’s post, fans were quick to slate the manager’s nomination as there’s still believed to be underlying problems within Anfield that supporters are unhappy with.
