Our Arsenal and Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern have had very different seasons to endure this season and it looks set to continue until May.

Starting with the Gunners, it’s been another season of false dawns with the club failing to follow up on what many thought would be a title-winning year for them.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have gone on to pretty much sew up the league and it’ll take something miraculous to stop them from lifting the trophy in May.

Differing seasons, then, but they’ll be both looking for similar summers in the sense that they involve plenty of incomings.

One, though, is likely to see an outgoing with Don Balon claiming that Barcelona have their sights on either Hector Bellerin or Juan Cuadrado.

The Spanish outlet reckons that the Arsenal right back is the Catalans’ preferred target but they could go for the on-loan Chelsea man if they fail to get him.

Cuadrado, of course, is currently at Juventus where he is playing well and so Chelsea themselves may want to keep him.

Whatever happens, though, our local Blues and Gunners are braced for a dramatic window.
