The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing the future of their misfiring forward, Divock Origi. The noise surrounding the Belgian forward comes after his agent gave comments to Turkish outlet, A Spor claiming that it was a mistake to send the 23-year-old out on loan to Wolfsburg this season and that next season he won’t be looking for a loan move.

The Liverpool fans propping our bar up have all been giving their opinions on the future of Origi. The young striker joined Liverpool in 2014 and has scored 21 goals in 77 appearances for the club, despite the fact he’s had two loan spells in that time to LOSC Lille and Wolfsburg. Now though, after four years under contract at Anfield, the striker could be set to leave Merseyside, with Besiktas an option for the youngster.

Origi has missed out on Belgium’s World Cup squad alongside a few other high profile names such as Radja Nainggolan, although after missing on the chance to play in Russia, the youngster could make the bold move to walk away from Liverpool and pursue consistent first-team football elsewhere. However, the Turkish Super Lig isn’t famed for its quality and it could be harder for the forward to manage an international call-up from outside the top five European leagues.
