Indeed, the Spaniard continues to make his way back from a back injury that caused for a striker crisis at Stamford Bridge, as Olivier Giroud was the ideal addition in the absence of the 25-year-old. However, news that the striker will play a part in tomorrow’s FA Cup encounter is a welcome sign for the Blues, as they’re going to require all the firepower to overcome the challenge of Lionel Messi and his fellow Barcelona teammates.
Of course, with Chelsea going their last three games without a striker making it onto the score-sheet, the return of their club-record signing could shape for an inspired reaction among his fellow teammates. And, as a former Real Madrid player there’s nothing Morata would love more than upsetting his former El Clásico rivals.
Chelsea will welcome Morata back into the side with open arms, as a player that’s served them well since making the move over from Spain.
