The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern love seeing a young player make it through the ranks at the Emirates, and having seen Arsenal’s latest announcement, they’re looking forward to seeing another in the team very soon.
As confirmed over on Arsenal’s official website, young attacker Trae Coyle has agreed professional terms at Arsenal, having turned 17 today.

Though a young player, Coyle has shown his quality whilst representing the various Arsenal youth teams, displaying fantastic technique and flair on the ball.
An attacking midfielder by trade, the 17-year-old is able to play across the attack, though he is perhaps most deadly through the middle. There, he is able to make use of his fantastic range of passing, allowing play to move forward by providing defence-splitting balls to those ahead of him. He has bags of technical ability, making him a real threat in the attack.
Coyle – who is a Nike Athlete – rose to prominence as a 14-year-old when he scored a fantastic goal from the half-way line for the Gunners against the Barcelona under-15s. See that below…
News of professional terms will calm fears of a potential exit for the Englishman, with a hopefully long spell at Arsenal now set to follow.
This is a deal that makes a lot of sense for Arsenal.
Arsenal have got one of Europe’s best academies in the Premier League, and a number of talented youngsters are on their way through. Much has been made of the likes of Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles, but Trae Coyle has the potential to be every bit as good.
With Arsenal lacking offensive firepower at present, there is a route for the Englishman into the first team, and whilst it won’t be easy, the Gunners’ decision to agree a deal with him certainly suggests that they are confident in his ability.
That’s no surprise. He’s good enough to make it, and this is a great first step for him.
