Newcastle fans in the Transfer Tavern have been giving us reasons to laugh as they respond to former manager, Sam Allardyce’s comments about the club. Allardyce claimed that the expectations at Everton are greater than they were in the North East because the Merseyside club’s history is greater.
Allardyce was axed as Newcastle manager just half a season into his tenure after an impressive seven and a half years in charge at Bolton Wanderers. The 63-year-old is set to last just as long at Everton though as underwhelming performances and an uninspiring style of football have turned the Toffees against Allardyce, just five months into his spell at Goodison Park.
The recent comments made by Allardyce were clearly made in an attempt to try and get Everton fans back on-side before the 11th placed side welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to Merseyside on Saturday. However, the comments have led to the ex-England manager receiving backlash from Newcastle fans, who aren’t happy at having their club belittled by a man who did so little himself in his time there.

The man is nothing but a king sized fraud.
