Everton look like stumbling along to a mid-table finish this term as they look to be being made to pay for such a poor start to the season under former manager Ronald Koeman.
The Toffees will be hoping to finish with a flurry though under Sam Allardyce, who has in the main turned things around at Goodison and got the team picking up their fair share of wins, pulling them clear of any sort of relegation danger.
Here in the Tavern, our landlord has been having a few in depth conversations with some of the Toffees fans this week about what the summer might bring, and his thinking is that there is going to be a fair few players up for the chop under Allardyce.
One player who immediately springs to mind and who only just stayed with the club in January is midfielder Davy Klaassen, who has struggled since making a move to the Premier League from Ajax in the summer.
He has never managed to nail down a place in the starting line up despite a promising start under Koeman, and his time under Allardyce has been worse, with the former England manager opting against selecting the Dutchman thus far.
Klaassen will be keen to get first team football and should have no shortage of suitors come the summer, and it would be very little surprise to see him make a move back to his homeland should his former club want him back among the ranks.
Everton fans, what do you think? Will Klaassen leave? Let us know!
