Everton supporters have been in fine voice in the Transfer Tavern this week after seeing their team get back to winning ways in the Premier League courtesy of a much-needed 2-0 success over in-form Brighton on Saturday.

Sam Allardyce’s men went into their clash with the Seagulls having lost their preceding two league games at Watford and Burnley, results which just about kept the threat of relegation in the picture. However, the Toffees all but secured their top-flight status on Saturday as a Gaetan Bong own goal alongside Cenk Tosun’s first at Goodison Park sealed a routine win for the Merseysiders, thus moving them back into the top half of the division and ten points clear of the bottom three.

Subsequently, there have been many upbeat Evertonians in the Tavern in recent times, several of whom are hoping their side can improve upon their dreadful away record when they visit struggling Stoke City on Saturday.

In the meantime though, there has been much for our resident Toffees fans to get their teeth into, not least recent rave reviews regarding the efforts of midfielder Muhamed Besic, currently on loan at Championship side Middlesbrough.

The 25-year-old made the move to Everton back in 2014 but spent 16 months away from first team action between 2016 and 2017 after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in his knee.

And with just two Premier League appearances in the first half of this season, the Bosnia and Herzegovina international was shipped out on loan to Tony Pulis’ Boro, for whom he has excelled with six Championship starts in a row to the point that they are reportedly keen on a permanent move for the midfielder.

And news of Besic’s fine efforts for the North East outfit have stimulated quite a response from Evertonians on Twitter, with the Toffees faithful seemingly unable to agree on what the future holds for the £4.5 million-rated star (as per Transfermarkt) at Goodison Park…

Everton fans… what do you think? Let us know!
