The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern are praying that Gabriel Jesus can make a rapid recovery from his ligament injury.
Man City’s campaign has gone just about as well as any supporter could have realistically imagined prior to the season, as they remain unbeaten in the Premier League and in with a genuine chance of winning the quadruple. The only minor setback to note in recent weeks was the injury to Gabriel Jesus who suffered medial collateral ligament damage during The Citizens away fixture against Crystal Palace on New Year’s Eve.
Since their draw with Roy Hodgson’s Eagles, City have recorded a hat-trick of victories across three separate competitions, but that has not prevented the supporters from calling for Jesus’ return.
And the supporters have been given a major boost with regards to his recovery, as Caio Carrieri – a journalist working as British correspondent for Brazilian media outlet UOLEsporte – confirmed that Jesus is completing a doctors appointment today and could be already be cleared to stop using crutches.

Naturally, the supporters reacted with a mixture of delight and surprise to the news, as their Brazilian wonderkid only collected the injury less than two weeks ago.
How soon Jesus will manage to play football again is another issue entirely, but the City supporters are certainly hoping it will be sooner rather than later.
