The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern couldn’t be happier at the moment. They’re still celebrating their side’s progression into the last four of the Champions League, and our landlord isn’t sure that the party will be ending any time soon.

It’s been a long time coming for Liverpool, but you can’t say they don’t deserve it. Every player has been fantastic in Europe, and they certainly weren’t lucky to beat Man City.

One of the stars of the show for Jurgen Klopp has been young Trent Alexander-Arnold. Thrust into the team on the right-hand side of the defence, he’s been able to impress against some of Europe’s best – becoming a bit of a cult hero amongst our resident Reds in the process.

Liverpool recently took to Twitter to discuss the teenager by sharing an interview with a former coach of his. Unsurprisingly, he was very complimentary of the Champions League semi-finalist, and the same can be said of the Liverpool fans over on Twitter.

In response to the Tweet, dozens of fans have moved to heap praise upon the young defender, with many clearly very impressed with his incredible rise into the Reds’ first team.

They’ve been comparing him to Steven Gerrard and touting him as a future captain, and those feelings seem pretty unanimous amongst Reds.

Take a look at a selection of what they’ve had to say below…
