Liverpool look set to qualify for the Champions League and secure their place in Europe’s elite competition for the first time since 2014, and the Reds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are delighted.

The Reds are currently third in the Premier League table, five points behind second placed Tottenham, and have five games to play before the season ends.

Trips to West and Watford and wedged between games at Anfield where Jurgen Klopp’s side take on Crystal Palace, Southampton and Middlesborough respectively.

With Manchester City hot on their tails and with a game in hand, Liverpool will have to ensure they take maximum points from their final five fixtures in order to try and ensure their long awaited return to Europe’s biggest competition.

A third placed finish would be the best the Red’s have registered in the Premier League in three seasons having finished second under Brendan Rodgers back in 2013-2014.

6th and 8th placed finishes over the past two seasons have left fans disappointed and hence a return to the top four would be conceded a big improvement.

Much of the reason behind their increased success has been to do with the arrivals at the club during the summer and winter transfer windows.

Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and James Milner have all been key figures for Jurgen Klopp over the past season.

Once again, Liverpool will be looking to recruit to build again on this season, and could turn to some of Europe’s best as they go in search of the Premier League title.

Here are THREE current Champion’s League quarter-finalists the Reds should try to sign this summer, and the fans at the Tavern agree.
