Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern were disgusted by the news today that UEFA is not taking any action regarding 17-year-old, Rhian Brewster’s claims that he has racially abused five times. A BBC report claims that UEFA failed to find any ‘conclusive evidence’ to suggest the England striker was the victim of racial abuse.
Uefa will not take any action over Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster’s racism claim.
Brewster said he has been targeted five times.

The talented Liverpool youngster claims to have been racially abused by Spartak Moscow captain, Leonid Mironov, during the club’s UEFA Youth League victory over the Russian side at Prenton Park back in December. UEFA reportedly claim to have corroborated with five players from each side and the match officials from the game, but none could confirm hearing any discriminatory language.
The Kopites propping up our bar were also reminded of how Brewster’s claims that teammate of his was racially abused at the U17 World Cup led to a FIFA investigation. Brewster helped England on to win the World Cup, top scoring the tournament with 8 goals. However, the competition was marred by allegations of racism that seem to follow Brewster through football.
Taking that into account, here are the Liverpool fans’ opinions on the situation:
It’s disgusting. Why hasn’t anything been done about it?

@UEFA don't care. They only want to make sure they have cash flowing in, everything else is just a waste of time to them.

They hardly take action even when there’s blatant evidence.

Can't say this is a surprise. Club's get punished for fans booing a song but racism is ignored.
