Liverpool fans here in the Tavern are delighted with how the club’s homegrown players are turning into future stars, as Trent Alexander-Arnold looks to be quite the prospect.
The Reds have produced some of the world’s superstars in years gone by at Melwood, as the likes of Steven Gerrard have gone on to earn a legendary status within the club, to then return to help train up the next generation of potential Liverpool stars. Indeed, Gerrard has now taken charge of the club’s Under-18 team, as he looks see his past experiences rub off on the academy products.
After seeing Reds young prodigy Trent Alexander-Arnold break through into the first-team over the past couple of seasons, it’s clear to see that hard work pays off for youngsters under Jurgen Klopp. And, the 19-year-old was a standout performer in Liverpool’s most recent Premier League encounter with Tottenham Hotspur, in a game that saw the right-back excite many of our local residents sat here in the Tavern.
Of course, it’s any young Liverpudlian’s dream to have Kop legend Steven Gerrard sing your praises after a performance, but Alexander-Arnold was lucky enough to have this become a reality, as Liverpool’s Twitter account took to posting comments made by Gerrard on the youngster.
