If you hadn’t heard already, Jose Mourinho isn’t too happy with the amount of games his Manchester United side have had to play in a short time this season.

While many of the punters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern have rolled their eyes during his rants over the course of the campaign, the injury crisis to have plagued Old Trafford this season has been lamented often and loudly amongst our locals.

With so many stars ruled out of action recently, the United fans in the bar are due some good news on that front. So, at least comments from one of their crocks on MUFC TV (sourced by the Manchester Evening News) have at least given some hope to our locals.

Timothy Fous-Mensah, who suffered a shoulder injury in the draw away at rivals Manchester City last month, may still make the Europa League final next week against former club Ajax.

”I’m good first of all,” said the 19-year-old.

“And I work hard, I try to be back as soon as possible, the officials are doing a good job.

“I work hard. It was not easy – the injury against City – but the doctor, the staff, everyone, we work hard together and just see, day-by-day, step-by-step.”

Having had so much bad luck with injuries this season, the United fans need all the luck they can get.
