Romelu Lukaku’s start to life at Manchester United has seriously excited the punters propping up our bar.

Indeed, the big Belgian has replaced Zlatan Ibrahimovic with aplomb in the central striking role, much to the delight of our resident Red Devils. As if that wasn’t good enough, the superstar Swede looks like nearing on a return to full fitness.

So, with United back in the goals, you might think the fans in our bar are satisfied with their clinical frontline.

Well, odds to have emerged from Sky Bet have seriously intrigued the United mad punters to have propped up our bar.

They make the Red Devils 33/1 to sign Robert Lewandowski in January. The Bayern Munich superstar recently criticised the club for not spending enough money over the course of the summer and has been touted as a potential target for Manchester City of late.

While the Citizens are made 10/1 to land the Polish international, Real Madrid are seemingly in pole position, made just 8/1 to bring him to the Spanish capital.

Landlord’s Verdict:

As you can imagine, the idea of seeing Lewandowski lining up with the likes of Lukaku, Ibrahimovic and Marcus Rashford has gone down a storm in our bar.

Still, considering the strength of their attack already, surely it’s unlikely to see him arrive.

Thoughts?
