West Ham United fans here in the Tavern will be hoping that their side can challenge for a European place next season, with Manuel Pellegrini looking to work his magic in the Premier League once again.

The Hammers won’t want a repeat of last season as they flirted with the possibility of relegation for large parts, with many of our local residents hoping for plenty of success under Manuel Pellegrini. And, it looks as if the South American is already looking to make big moves on the transfer front, as according to the Mail Online, West Ham United are eyeing a move for Issa Diop.

Indeed, it’s understood that the Hammers have checked on Toulouse defender Issa Diop, with Fulham and Everton also keeping tabs.

Interestingly, the 21-year-old has also been followed by Arsenal, Tottenham Hostpur, Inter Milan and Barcelona over the past few months.

However, Toulouse recognise he is one of their most saleable assets and are willing to listen to offers but want £26 million.

Landlord’s Verdict:

So, it looks as if West Ham United are weighing up an ambitious move for Issa Diop, with European giants Inter Milan and Barcelona both following the player in recent times. And, with London rivals Fulham, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur all interested in the youngster, perhaps Manuel Pellegrini will be able to gain the upper-hand as they head into next season by securing the defender.
