Everton parted company with Sam Allardyce on Wednesday and fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking to see who arrives during the summer.

The locals in the bar will be celebrating the Toffees decision to swiftly dismiss Allardyce ahead of the transfer window, however, it remains to be seen who will be named to replace him at Goodison Park.

Marco Silva has been heavily linked with the job ever since November when Everton failed to bring him in from Watford, however, another Premier League manager is thought to be on their radar.

According to a report by BBC Sport, the Merseyside outfit are considering a surprise approach for Eddie Howe. The AFC Bournemouth manager has been impressing a number of clubs with the progress he has made with the south-coast outfit, and the Toffees are prepared to consider him for the vacant role at Goodison.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Everton fans in the bar will be delighted that Allardyce has been removed and will be excited with the prospect of Howe joining them. The Bournemouth boss is one of the youngest managers in the Premier League and he has successfully guided his club away from the relegation zone in the last three seasons despite having limited resources.

The locals in the Tavern could, however, be concerned that he may not be able to take the club to another level due to a lack of experience.
