The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern just cannot get enough of summer signing Mo Salah.

Despite failing to impress at Chelsea during his last stint in England, Salah has hit the ground running since joining Jurgen Klopp’s team in the summer transfer window from Roma.

The 25-year-old winger has netted sixteen goals and contributed with a further four assists in twenty games for Liverpool this season, including four in five in the Champions League and twelve goals in fifteen Premier League matches.

His record of directly contributing to one goal per game this season has not gone unnoticed, though.

According to The Evening Standard, Epygtian national team manager Hector Cuper has claimed in an interview with ON TV Sport in Egypt that Real Madrid are interested in snapping up Salah this summer.

The Egypt international has been the star for Cuper’s side, guiding them to the World Cup with his goals and overall impressive displays.

Cuper said: “I’ve received confirmed news revealing Real Madrid’s interest in Salah, but let’s not rush things.

“To me, he is in an amazing position right now.”

Liverpool will of course be desperate to keep Salah despite interest from the La Liga giants but they could face a battle to hold onto their star man.
