The Sun reckon he may be about to get himself a new Bentley.
Redknapp has reportedly made a shock move for Tottenham outcast David Bentley as QPR fans prepare themselves for a hectic transfer deadline day.
Bentley is one of three Tottenham players taking Redknapp’s fancy, with loan moves for midfielders Jermaine Jenas and Andros Townsend both in the pipeline.
Redknapp managed Bentley during his time at Tottenham, but was often left frustrated by the wingers inconsistent form. He once sent the former Arsenal man out on loan to West Ham United, but the move was disrupted by a serious knee injury.
Bentley has since been sent to Russian club FC Rostov on loan, but Redknapp is willing to give the player another shot in the Premier League, knowing he is capable of producing the odd moment of magic that may prove crucial in a relegation dogfight.
It promises to be a hectic deadline day for QPR fans, with Redknapp also poised to make moves for Peter Crouch and Christopher Samba before the 11pm deadline.
