The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern are becoming increasingly disillusioned with Sam Allardyce due to their side’s dramatic decline in recent weeks.
The Toffees have more or less secured their Premier League survival this season under Allardyce’s leadership, but the club still remain 6 points shy of the safe haven that the 40-point mark brings. Last time out Everton suffered a 2-1 defeat away at Burnley despite taking the lead in the first-half courtesy of Cenk Tosun’s first goal for the club – a result which extended their winless run on the road to 6 games.
Everton are back in action at home this weekend against a Brighton side who moved level on points with the Merseyside club last weekend after recording a huge 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Amex Stadium. Ahead of Brighton’s visit to Goodison Park, Allardyce delivered a press conference in which he revealed some positive injury news.

According to Allardyce, Funes Mori, Phil Jagielka and Leighton Baines have all been passed fit and ready to play this weekend in their clash against The Seaguls, however, the announcement was more or less ignored by the supporters on Twitter who instead used their club’s post as an opportunity to slate the unpopular manager.
Allardyce is beginning to cut a hugely unpopular figure at Everton, and judging by the response to his fitness update, it seems the vast majority of supporters are desperate to see him depart the club as soon as possible.
Here’s what the fans on Twitter have had to say in response to Allardyce’s pre-match comments…
I think most of us have lost interest tbh

Don’t think he’s the right man to manage Everton. They need to get rid of him now.
