Spurs fans within the Transfer Tavern are thrilled with the recent form of the team as they near the end of the Premier League season in the top four. Tottenham over the past few seasons have been building a really strong team that will soon be capable of challenging for the domestic trophies.

The number of younger players in the Tottenham team is an exciting sign for fans given that players such as Dele Alli and Davinson Sanchez are playing brilliantly now and still have years ahead to improve their game.

With that in mind, another young player that Spurs could target this summer is Udinese’s Jakub Jankto, valued at £13.50 million on Transfermarkt. The 22-year-old central-midfielder has been a prominent figure for the Serie A side this season and having played in 29 games in all competitions, he has scored five goals and assisted 6 goals for his team-mates.

His rise to becoming one of the most promising midfielders in Italy has been different to most, coming from the youth levels in the Czech Republic to arriving at Udinese in 2016. As Spurs look ahead to playing in their new stadium, new faces that could be the standout figures of Tottenham for years to come are the ones who must be acquired this summer. With an extremely strong starting 11, Spurs could use Jankto as a way of improving their squad depth in preparation for the competitions they find themselves in next season.

Landlords thoughts:

Jakub Jankto is not at the moment a well-known name but the Czech midfielder could yet be a star in the future. The 22-year-old has the ability to play left midfield, attacking midfield but mainly in the middle of the park. He has shown that he is capable of scoring goals and as Tottenham continue to improve, Jankto would be a good way to further the improvements at Spurs.
