AC Milan are allegedly interested in the services of West Brom’s Welsh striker, Tyler Roberts, scaring the Baggies propping up the bar here in the Transfer Tavern.
According to ESPN, AC Milan are one of three Serie A teams who are keen to sign Tyler Roberts from the Baggies. Milan are joined by Sampdoria and Torino in the race to sign the Welsh sensation who impressed on loan at League One, Walsall, during the first half of the season.
Roberts played 19 games for Walsall, scoring a decent total of five goals. The Welshman made his league debut for West Brom as a seventeen-year-old, and his contract with the Midlands club expires at the end of the season.
Due to his contractual status, Tyler Roberts is free to sign with foreign clubs on a pre-contract agreement.
It seems highly unlikely that Roberts will extend his contract with the Baggies (otherwise the forward would have already agreed to a new deal with the club). Accordingly, it could be a sensible and financially rewarding choice to sell the young striker now, while the club are still able to attain a transfer fee.
