The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have been urging their club to make Sam Allardyce the next Leeds boss. Big Sam, as he’s known as, was sacked from his role as Everton manager yesterday after just six months in the job and The Whites are already speculating over his future. If Allardyce was to drop down to the Championship, it would be interesting to see how he fares on a smaller budget.
With that being said, the 63-year-old isn’t used to having the wealth of a nation to splash on players. However, the ex-England manager has been a consistent feature in the top-flight, having managed more teams than any other gaffer in the history of the Premier League. Big Sam’s seven different jobs in England’s first-tier is a record, and if he does make the drop to the Championship, winning promotion with Leeds would take his tally to eight.
It’s highly unlikely that Sam Allardyce will be giving Leeds United a go, although if he does it will be interesting to see how he deals with the challenges he’d be faced with. The club has a squad filled with deadwood and a director of football in Victor Orta who probably wouldn’t see eye-to-eye with Allardyce on the club’s vision for transfers. However, seeing whether Allardyce’s ability to keep a club in the Premier League could be applied to gaining promotion to the Premier League would be an interesting watch and one that the Leeds fans would like to see.

I reckon Allardyce would be good at Leeds

Why are people still talking about Allardyce to Leeds?! absolutely deluded, was on £6m a year at Everton

Dunno why people wouldn't want Allardyce at Leeds

Like big Sam or not – can you imagine what a coup that would be for Leeds united. People would genuinely be shocked. Everton struggled to get Sam and his team because of their demands. I very much doubt Radz would have a chance.

@bbc5live I'd take big Sam at Leeds

I would take big Sam as a manager. Yes he would give Leeds some form of organisation and solidify the defense.
