# Queens Park Rangers: Fans delighted as Geoff Cameron hit with suspension

**Queens Park Rangers fans had every right to be frustrated at the weekend following their 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough – though these supporters seem to have taken pleasure from one player getting themselves suspended.**

The Hoops came from behind to lead 2-1 before [Nahki Wells’ backpass](https://www.skysports.com/football/qpr-vs-mboro/report/409536) gifted Britt Assombalonga the chance to score his second of the game and salvage a point for the visitors – who had not scored in the [four games prior](https://uk.soccerway.com/teams/england/middlesbrough-football-club/671/matches/) to their visit to W12.

To add to the team’s misery, midfielder Geoff Cameron picked up his fifth yellow card of the season – and will miss the trip to Fulham in the process.

However, some fans weren’t too disappointed at the 34-year-old’s suspension, with those responding to the [confirmation of his ban](https://twitter.com/QPR/status/1193241849000910848) seeming rather relieved that the American – [filling in at centre-back](https://www.skysports.com/football/qpr-vs-mboro/teams/409536) in a Rangers back-five – would sit out the approaching London derby after the international break.

Here’s how some QPR supporters responded to the news after a frustrating afternoon at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium:

> Not convinced by him at all, to me this is not a great loss
