# Queens Park Rangers: Fans delighted with Ebere Eze after role in Hoops victory

**Ebere Eze was the toast of W12 on Saturday after his free-kick helped the Hoops to a first [home league win](https://www.skysports.com/queens-park-rangers-results) of the season against Wigan Athletic at the weekend.**

[QPR](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49378600) had gone behind early on against the Latics, but produced a stirring second-half fightback to secure all three points at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

Goals from Nahki Wells and Jordan Hugill helped Mark Warburton’s side towards victory, though Eze’s perfectly placed [free-kick](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGUhbC55hHs) – that gave the team their first lead of the game – had supporters heaping praise on the 21-year-old midfielder.

Some fans called on the club to secure the player’s long-term future after Eze notched his [second](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/queens-park-rangers/top-scorers) goal of the season – while others looked forward to the youngster getting an international call-up.

And after helping the club return to winning ways following back-to-back [defeats](https://www.skysports.com/queens-park-rangers-results), supporters seemed keen to see more of Eze as his positive start to the season continued:
