### The Verdict: Splash the cash

Leao has been [hailed](https://twitter.com/ftalentscout/status/1518330195605954561?s=46&t=0djoQ6Jy5HLgK3FQpChr9A) a ‘difference-maker’ by talent scout [Jacek Kulig](https://twitter.com/FTalentScout) and Chelsea should definitely splash the cash to secure his services this summer.

The Milan attacker has racked up [14](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/rafael-leao/leistungsdaten/spieler/357164) goal contributions (eight goals and six assists) in 22 Serie A outings this season, where he’s currently averaging [2.9](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/349207/Show/Rafael-Le%C3%A3o) shots per game.

This form has seen him bag [five](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/349207/Show/Rafael-Le%C3%A3o) man-of-the-match awards in all competitions, not forgetting his versatility having [operated](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/rafael-leao/leistungsdaten/spieler/357164) as a second striker and in midfield alongside his natural position out wide.

Leao ranks in the [95th](https://fbref.com/en/players/20730eae/Rafael-Leao) percentile for successful take-ons and this kind of direct threat is exactly what the Blues need, making this a no-brainer of a deal to complete should the opportunity arise.
