# Rangers: Alfredo Morelos tipped for big-money summer exit

**According to recent reports, Glasgow Rangers centre-forward, Alfredo Morelos, is looking more and more likely to depart the Gers this summer in a big-money move.**

The report by [El Espectador](https://www.elespectador.com/deportes/futbol-internacional/alfredo-morelos-el-sello-de-la-resurreccion-del-rangers/) (via [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/everything-indicates-player-will-leave-rangers-summer-made-mark-title-success/)) claims that “everything indicates” the Rangers striker will now leave Ibrox this summer after the Gers secured their first top flight in 10 years.

Morelos, who has scored [15 goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/leistungsdaten/spieler/338962) and registered [12 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/leistungsdaten/spieler/338962) over 35 appearances in all competitions for Steven Gerrard’s side this season, has been [heavily linked with a move away from the club](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11788/12036464/alfredo-morelos-rangers-striker-agrees-to-join-lille) in the past, however, [El Espectador](https://www.elespectador.com/deportes/futbol-internacional/alfredo-morelos-el-sello-de-la-resurreccion-del-rangers/) state that the [£33,000 per week](https://salarysport.com/football/ladbrokes-premiership/rangers/) 24-year-old has now “left his mark” in Glasgow following the club’s recent league success.

It is said that Gers will be looking for a fee of around $30 million (£21.6 million) for the [£10.8 million-rated](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/marktwertverlauf/spieler/338962) Colombia international, a figure which would “serve to finish consolidating” the club’s recovery from financial ruin.

### Transfer Tavern Take

Having scored a quite remarkable [92 goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/338962) and providing [42 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/338962) over his 173 appearances since joining from HJK Helsinki in a [£1.08 million deal](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/transfers/spieler/338962) back in 2017, it is undeniable that Rangers have got their money’s worth out of Morelos and would be making a massive profit if the quoted £21.6m fee comes to fruition.

And, considering the player’s reported [desire to leave](https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/sport/football/rangers-news-alfredo-morelos-lille-18817842) on previous occasions, perhaps, following the club’s league title, now could indeed be the ideal time for the club to cash in on the centre-forward, as [El Espectador](https://www.elespectador.com/deportes/futbol-internacional/alfredo-morelos-el-sello-de-la-resurreccion-del-rangers/) suggest.
