# Rangers duo almost certain to leave as Gerrard’s rebuild shows no signs of letting up

**Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to seeing what Steven Gerrard can bring to the side this summer, however, the manager will have his work cut out for him in the coming months.**

The new Ibrox chief has a number of tasks he will need to complete at the Light Blues, with the buying and selling of players a huge priority. He has already made his mark in the recruitment aspect, having signed four players and is continuing his search for more additions, however, he will also need to look at offloading a number of men as well.

[According to a report in the Daily Record, the likes of Joe Dodoo and Harry Forrester are almost certainly not going to be in Glasgow for the beginning of the new Scottish Premiership season](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/whos-next-follow-michael-ohalloran-12671122). Dodoo has been heavily linked with a loan switch to Blackpool in recent days, whilst Forrester spent last season on loan at AFC Wimbledon and does not appear to have a future at Ibrox.

### Landlord’s Verdict

Gerrard will need to make the necessary cuts to his squad to ensure he has enough funds available to bring players in and the locals in the Tavern will feel Dodoo and Forrester are surplus to requirements at Ibrox next season.

The duo have failed to hit the heights that were expected of them when they initially joined the Light Blues and spent time out on loan last season, however, they are not considered to be in the former Liverpool star’s first-team plans heading into August.
