# Rangers: Fans would be keen on Lyndon Dykes if potential deal for Florian Kamberi fails

**A number of Rangers fans on Twitter have given their approval to transfer reports suggesting that the Ibrox club could make a deadline day move for Lyndon Dykes.**

[The Scottish Sun](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5231167/rangers-fc-news-livingston-dykes-hibs-kamberi/) reported this morning that the ‘Gers could swoop for the Livingston striker if an attempted move for Hibernian forward Florian Kamberi doesn’t materialise – [BBC](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51320705) claimed that the Light Blues are in talks with the Easter Road club about a possible move for the 24-year-old, but added that a deal remains “some way from being concluded”.

Steven Gerrard is keen to add to his attacking options today after Jermain Defoe was ruled out for four weeks with a calf injury, with the ‘Gers scouting Dykes during Livingston’s 4-2 win at Hamilton last weekend. \[[via The Scottish Sun](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5231167/rangers-fc-news-livingston-dykes-hibs-kamberi/)\]

The 24-year-old, who according to [The Scottish Sun](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5231167/rangers-fc-news-livingston-dykes-hibs-kamberi/) would be very keen on a move to Ibrox, has scored 11 goals in 25 games for the Lions this season, including one in a 2-0 defeat of Celtic in October, as well as supplying eight assists. \[[via TransferMarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/lyndon-dykes/leistungsdaten/spieler/347138)\]

These Rangers fans on Twitter would be keen on having Dykes at the club if they cannot land Kamberi:

> Cards on the table I’d attempt to sign Lyndon Dykes as a cheap option back up striker with scope to develop, something like 25 goal involvements for Livingston this season and a lot of attributes for our coaches to work with.

> Would rather dykes I think because he would give us that option to change it up late on and actually be effective when we punt balls forward.
