Both Ridvan Yilmaz and Ben Davies are 'not available' for Glasgow Rangers for their Champions League clash tonight through injury.

The Lowdown: Weekend injury setbacks

The Turkish defender was forced off injured after just eight minutes of the Gers' 4-1 win against Aberdeen at Ibrox in the Premiership last weekend, while Davies was taken off at half-time.

This came after Giovanni van Bronckhorst confirmed in his pre-game press conference that Kemar Roofe had suffered a setback in his recovery from injury, as the Light Blues' treatment room starts to fill up.

The Latest: Unavailable tonight

Speaking to the media ahead of the clasg at home to Ajax tonight, Rangers boss Van Bronckhorst has confirmed that both Yilmaz and Davies are 'not available', while John Lundstram also misses out through suspension.

He later confirmed that the Turk has an injury to his hamstring and will not feature before the upcoming break for the World Cup in Qatar.

The Verdict: Big blow for Rangers

With Van Bronckhorst's plea to get a 'positive result' against Ajax, losing Yilmaz and Davies on top of Lundstram is a big blow to the Light Blues' already meagre chances of salvaging third place in Group A.

In what has otherwise been a dismal European campaign, all three have been standout performers in the team, ranking highly among the squad in terms of average tackles, clearances and blocks per game, while no Teddy Bears player has averaged more interceptions than the trio (WhoScored).

Given the 4-0 drubbing in the reverse fixture two months ago, Rangers will not want a repeat of that, but they will nonetheless have to find a way to get a positive result without three important players.
