Former Glasgow Rangers player Charlie Adam has jumped to Ryan Jack’s defence following fan criticism after his display for Scotland against the Czech Republic.
Adam defends Jack
Jack was in action for the Tartan Army over the international break and was included in the starting line-up against the Czechs. In the end, Scotland won 1-0 and the general consensus was that the 28-year-old Rangers midfielder had played well.
However, one fan on Twitter was clearly not happy, saying: “Ryan Jack is the worst player I’ve ever seen play in a Scotland shirt.”
Adam certainly didn’t agree, responding: “Are you sure” with two monkey emojis.
Despite starting his career at Ibrox, Adam is actually a Dundee supporter, and he is not the most popular figure with some Rangers fans. who have not been too complimentary towards him in the past.
However, on this point, most ‘Gers supporters are likely to take the 34-year-old’s side. Jack was in impressive form in the latest UEFA Nations League clash, racking up a Sofascore rating of 7.3. He also won nine of his 10 duels and completed all three attempted dribbles.
Will Rangers beat Celtic this weekend?
Such good form comes at the perfect time for Steven Gerrard as the 54-time Scottish champions face Celtic tomorrow in what promises to be the biggest game of the season so far. An in-form and confident Jack can only be good for the Light Blues’ chances of victory.
