Rangers: Gers eyeing Jack Butland move

Glasgow Rangers and Giovanni van Bronckhorst are reportedly now eyeing up a move to bring Jack Butland to Ibrox this summer.
The Lowdown: McGregor future
Allan McGregor is still facing an uncertain future at the Gers, as he is coming to the end of his contract.
The Scotsman is 40 years of age now, and so one has to question whether he can keep carrying on playing at a high level, with BBC reports believing it is extremely likely he will hang up his boots.
The Latest: Butland eyed
Writing in his latest piece for The Sun, reliable journalist Alan Nixon has revealed that the Light Blues are now ‘keeping tabs’ on Butland ahead of a potential move this summer.
Should Rangers sign Butland?
Yes

No

His future at Crystal Palace is thought to be ‘uncertain’, while Premier League new boys AFC Bournemouth are also ‘interested’ in his signature.
The Verdict: Smart business
With uncertainty over McGregor’s future, bringing in Butland could prove to be a smart piece of business.
Described as a ‘real professional‘ by his manager Patrick Vieira, the six-foot-five goalkeeper has been contempt with playing second fiddle to Vicente Guaita, making just 15 appearances in total over all competitions this season.
If McGregor were to stay, Butland should provide sufficient competition for the veteran, who would then be able to be rotated more by the Teddy Bears ahead of what looks to be another busy campaign with added European competition.
