Glasgow Rangers: Fans go wild after club posts footage of Kemar Roofe goal - Rangers News

To mark the signing of Kemar Roofe from Anderlecht on Tuesday, Glasgow Rangers posted footage of a wonder goal scored by the striker which seems to have whetted the appetite of many supporters to see him in action at Ibrox.

The clip, uploaded by the EFL on Twitter and shared via @RangersFC, shows the 27-year-old from his time at Oxford when he curled an exquisite first-time shot from 25 yards out into the top corner of the net in a clash against Bristol Rovers.

That was one of 31 goals that he struck for the U’s in 65 appearances prior to netting 33 in 122 games for Leeds. He had a decent return of seven goals in 16 games at Anderlecht last season after his move to Belgium, a tally which would almost certainly have been higher had he not been plagued by injuries and if the season wasn’t ended prematurely amid the global pandemic.

Roofe was the first of two strikers signed by the ‘Gers yesterday, with Cedric Itten’s move from St Gallen also being confirmed.
