Glasgow Rangers: Fans rave over Ryan Kent’s performance against Willem II - Rangers News

Many Glasgow Rangers fans were purring over the performance of Ryan Kent in last night’s 4-0 drubbing of Willem II in the Europa League qualifiers.

The winger ended the night with a goal and an assist, firstly winning the penalty from which James Tavernier opened the scoring shortly before pouncing on an error from the home side’s goalkeeper to double the Light Blues’ lead (as per BBC).

The 23-year-old then set up the third goal in the early second half exchanges as his inch-perfect cross was headed to the net by Filip Helander. Just after Connor Goldson made it 4-0, Steven Gerrard had the luxury of withdrawing Kent for the final 18 minutes, his work for the night well and truly done. He now has five goals and five assists in his first nine matches of the season.

The manager raved about the winger’s performance after the match, while Glasgow Live reporter Robert Fairnie described him as “top class” and “the best player on the park by some distance”. Such displays make it unsurprising that Leeds continue to be linked with Kent, having already had an offer of Β£10m turned down by the Ibrox club, who signed him from Liverpool for Β£7m last year.

These ‘Gers fans on Twitter were ecstatic over the 23-year-old’s display in Tilburg last night, with one supporter describing him as “untouchable”:
