A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have hit out at manager Steven Gerrard following comments that he made about Alfredo Morelos after his team’s 1-0 defeat at Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday saw them bow out of the Europa League.

The Colombian has been the subject of intense transfer speculation recently, with Football Insider claiming that the ‘Gers are in advanced talks with Lille over a potential £17m move. As per Sky Sports, Gerrard admitted in his post-match interview with BT Sport that the 24-year-old striker “has had his head turned” amid the speculation linking him with a move to the Ligue 1 outfit.
