Glasgow Rangers: Fans unimpressed with Ianis Hagi despite 4-0 thrashing of Willem II

Glasgow Rangers may have cruised to a 4-0 win over Willem II in the Europa League qualifiers last night but that did not stop some fans from criticising the performance of Ianis Hagi.
The Romanian, who has come under from some pundits and supporters in recent weeks, spurned a glorious chance to add further gloss to the final score in the closing stages when he somehow contrived to miss the target from an inviting Jordan Jones cross. Glasgow Live reporter Robert Fairnie said that the 21-year-old “started slowly” against the Dutch side but “grew into the game”, although he criticised the winger over the missed chance late on.
Should Ianis Hagi be dropped?
Yes

No

Hagi enjoyed a memorable night in this competition in February when he scored twice in a pulsating 3-2 win over Braga but, having since made his loan move from Genk permanent for £3.15m (as per TransferMarkt), he has struggled to come close to such heights so far this season. While a return of four assists from 10 games is respectable, he has scored just once this term.
These ‘Gers fans on Twitter voiced their dissatisfaction with Hagi’s performance in the 4-0 win last night, with one highly disillusioned supporter calling it “garbage” and “abysmal”:
