Glasgow Rangers: Fans react to Steven Gerrard’s update on Alfredo Morelos ahead of Aberdeen trip

Plenty of Glasgow Rangers fans have been speculating as to whether Alfredo Morelos will feature in tomorrow’s opening day Premiership clash against Aberdeen.
In his press conference ahead of the match, Steven Gerrard confirmed that the Colombian will travel to Pittodrie with the squad but said that he had yet to decide whether the 24-year-old would be in the starting line-up. The update was shared via the Ibrox club’s official Twitter channel @RangersFC.
🎙️ SG: Alfredo will travel up to Aberdeen with us, in terms of the starting XI and squad I will decide this after today's session.

The striker has been heavily linked with a move away from Glasgow recently, with the ‘Gers reportedly on the verge of agreeing a £17m deal with Lille to sell him to the Ligue 1 club, according to Football Insider.
Morelos has featured in pre-season for the Light Blues but “hasn’t quite looked at peak sharpness”, in the words of the Daily Record‘s Gabriel McKay. He scored 29 times for the ‘Gers last season but only one of those goals came after the winter break.
With Jermain Defoe currently injured, the only natural centre-forward alternative to the Colombian is Greg Stewart, who made just five starts in all competitions in 2019/20.
Do you think Morelos will feature against Aberdeen?
Yes

No

These ‘Gers fans on Twitter gave their views to Gerrard’s update on Morelos, with one supporter believing that it would tell “a massive story” if the 24-year-old doesn’t start at Pittodrie:
If Alfredo doesn't start then that tells a massive story itself. https://t.co/gpjAqeagKL

If he plays Morelos he will massively go down in my estimation as a manager and person, Morelos doesn’t want to be in Glasgow anymore, so get an 11 together who will give them a game..end of.
