Steven Gerrard has been full of praise for Glasgow Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo as the squad gears up for the new season.
“He’s come back in a fantastic place. He’s come back fitter, he’s come back focused and all I ask is that he takes his pre-season performances into the season because if he does, he’s going to be a major help for us.”
“He gives us more creation in midfield by dropping down a line. But he’s more than capable of playing anywhere you put him as he’s so talented.”
Since joining the ‘Gers, Aribo has played 48 times in all competitions including the Europa League and boasts a good goal contribution tally as he has picked up nine goals and eight assists, per Transfermarkt. This is a very good record for the youngster to have and it highlights why Gerrard has been full of praise for the former Charlton player.
Aribo is still young but, with Gerrard seeing him as a key component for the ‘Gers, that highlights his quality and also the potential he has to become an even better player.
Hopefully Aribo continues to impress and helps the Ibrox club to challenge for major honours in the upcoming season.
