Glasgow Rangers: Fans unhappy with Europa League draw - Rangers News

Glasgow Rangers may not have won the major trophy they were looking for last year, but they were still able to put together a good run in the Europa League.

The Gers made the round of 16, eventually losing to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen after they had beaten the likes of Porto, Braga and Feyenoord in previous rounds. In the end, they were the best performing Scottish side in European competition last term – something Steven Gerrard and his players can be very proud of.

Who scored more goals for the Gers?

The Ibrox outfit’s second-place finish in the Premiership means they will once again participate in the competition this campaign, and the draw for the second qualifying round has now been completed. It has been confirmed that the Gers will play Lincoln Red Imps – who famously beat Celtic not long ago – in a one-legged match in Gibraltar.

Will Rangers progress to the next round?

This has attracted plenty of attention from the Gers supporters, and it seems they aren’t too happy – some believe that their pleasure in the Bhoys’ loss against the same opponents may come back to bite them, whilst one or two have lamented the Red Imps’ plastic pitch. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts. You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
