Things are currently going swimmingly for Glasgow Rangers, but that has not been the case for most of the last decade.
The Gers are, at the moment, top of the Premiership, having won five and drawn one of their first six matches – they have not yet even conceded a goal and have a six-point lead over their fierce city rivals Celtic.
However, they have not won a major trophy since 2011, and spent 4 years below the top tier after they were demoted to the bottom wrung of Scottish football after they went into administration.
Their absence from the Premiership gave Celtic a free run to nine titles in a row, and they are now looking to make history by winning a tenth. Former Bhoys man Paul Lambert, though, does not seem too happy about that. He says that the 54-time Scottish champions should have only been given a fine rather than a demotion, and that it hurt Scottish football as a result.
Do you like Paul Lambert?
These words have attracted the attention of the Gers supporters, and it is fair to say they are happy with Lambert, especially considering he has connections to Celtic. They took to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
Paul Lambert, a fantastic player and a man who speaks sense.
