Glasgow Rangers can be happy with their performance against Lincoln Red Imps in the second qualifying round of the Europa League on Thursday.
The side from Gibraltar, who previously beat Celtic in the Champions League, could have been a tricky fixture for the Ibrox outfit, but they dealt with the game with ease – in the end, they were 5-0 victors, with James Tavernier, Jermain Defoe, Connor Goldson and Alfredo Morelos – twice – grabbing the goals. They will now face Willem II in the next round.
Whilst it was a good display from a team point of view, though, Greg Stewart failed to impress too much. The 30-year-old was making his first start of the campaign and, although he did manage an assist, he failed to have too much of an impact on the match.
Should Rangers sell Greg Stewart?
The supporters were far from happy with his performance and they took to Twitter to share their thoughts – one fan even called him a “waste of a jersey.” You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.

Good result. Greg Stewart was garbage. Don’t understand why Jones is behind him. On to Sunday for the game that actually matters.
