Many Glasgow Rangers are fuming with the performance of Conor Goldson in the Scottish Premiership match away to Motherwell.
They were not happy with Goldson for his involvement in Motherwell’s early goal. Devante Cole scored in the 21st minute after Golson struggled to contain him (SofaScore). One fan called Goldson’s defending ‘really poor’.
The 28 year-old has been solid for the Scottish side this season and before this game he had managed on average 1.1 tackles and 2.9 clearances per game in the division (WhoScored). The centre-back has also been a great attacking threat, scoring three goals and picking up one assist.
Steven Gerrard’s side have a resounding lead at the top of the SPFL, however, if key players like Goldson aren’t playing at their best, then the club could very well begin to drop points.
Their Old Firm rivals Celtic do have three games in hand so could reduce this big gap, therefore the Gers need to make sure they do not suffer any embarrassing results which can help the Hoops reduce the deficit.
Here is what fans had to say about Goldson:
“Goldson went to sleep there”
“Watt got Goldson in his back pocket”
“av and goldson oh lord”
“What the hell Trav and Goldson shocking there”
“That’s really poor from Tav and Goldson”
“I swear EVERY single chance we concede it due to Tavernier and Goldson. The defending for that goal is embarrassing.”
