Glasgow Rangers: Fans want Vladimir Weiss back - Rangers News

Whilst Vladimir Weiss’ spell at Glasgow Rangers was short, it was ultimately sweet.

The £900,000-valued winger – as per Transfermarkt – spent the 2010/11 season on loan at the Gers from Manchester City, and impressed throughout the campaign. He made 35 appearances, scoring five times and creating a further 15 strikes as the Ibrox outfit won the Premiership – the last major trophy they lifted.

Who scored more goals for the Gers?

Since then, he has had somewhat of a nomadic career, featuring for the likes of Pescara, Olympiakos and Espanyol, with him currently playing for Slovan Bratislava in his homeland of Slovakia. He has arguably failed to reach the heights he managed with the 54-time Scottish champions ever since.

On Wednesday, the club’s official Twitter account shared a video of him scoring against Motherwell during his one term in Scotland. It appears to have delighted the Gers supporters, with many calling for him to be brought back to the club given how good he was for them.
