Ryan Jack and Brandon Barker are both doubtful for Glasgow Rangers’ Europa League tie against Lincoln Red Imps on Thursday.
The Gers will travel to Gibraltar in the second qualifying round of the European competition, and they could well be without two important players. The duo were both forced off early on in the last Premiership game against Dundee United, which the Ibrox outfit won 4-0. Jack has a calf issue, whilst Barker pulled his hamstring, with both issues occurring in the first 20 minutes.
This will no doubt be a blow to Steven Gerrard. Jack has started every single game in the Premiership so far this term and, whilst Barker has come in for criticism from supporters in the past, he too has featured regularly this season, being included in the first XI in the last three games.
Will Rangers make the group stages of the Europa League?
However, whilst the boss would rather have these two available, the 54-time Scottish champions should have more than enough to beat the Imps. Hopefully, though, their absence does not make the tie too difficult.
