Glasgow Rangers winger Jordan Jones has returned to Ibrox after picking up an injury whilst away on international duty.
Jones was called up to the Northern Ireland squad for the matches against Romania and Norway, but he missed the former due to the knock. He hoped to be fit for the second of those two clashes, but it has now been confirmed that he has returned to his club to recover.
In terms of the Gers’ first-team plans, this is not exactly the worst news. The 25-year-old is yet to play a single minute for Steven Gerrard’s side so far this campaign, and that has not stunted their progress at all – they are currently top of the Premiership table, winning five and drawing one of their first six matches.
Should Jordan Jones leave the club?
However, it is being said that Jones could be on the move this summer, with the 54-time Scottish champions looking to move him on – any interest in him will dwindle if he is injured. Hopefully, for all involved, the issue is not serious.
