Alfredo Morelos’ agent Michael Gorman has called Miki Bouraoui a “liar” following claims made about the Glasgow Rangers striker.
Bouraoui had told CalcioNapoli24 that he had offered Morelos to Napoli, and that the 24-year-old wanted to make a move to Italy – he also pointed out that any deal for Victor Osimhen would end the Serie A outfit’s interest in the £10.8m-valued Colombia international – as per Transfermarkt.
However, Gorman has moved quickly to quash those claims, saying that he has nothing to do with Bouraoui. He told Golombianos:
“We do not know him (Bouraoui). It has nothing to do with us or with Morelos. He is a liar.”
This is good news for Gers fans, but it has now become a farcical situation – why has Bouraoui made comments and reportedly offered him to another club if he has no actual connection to the player? It does little to shed any light on where Morelos’ future lies.
Will Morelos be at Rangers next season?
After all, it has previously been reported that the Ibrox outfit expect their star man to leave the club this summer, with them looking for a fee of £15m. Just because there may not be any truth in this rumour, it does not mean that no other sides are in for him – for example, Everton have been recently linked.
It remains to be seen what happens to the former HJK Helsinki man.
