Glasgow Rangers play their fourth Premiership match of the campaign this afternoon.
The ‘Gers have had a fantastic start to the season, winning each of their first three matches without conceding a goal, but Livingston’s artificial home pitch at the Tony Macaroni Arena will present a different set of problems for the Ibrox outfit.
With the games coming thick and fast, it will be interesting to see exactly what line-up Steven Gerrard selects. Here, we try to predict his starting XI for today’s encounter:
There will be one enforced change for the ‘Gers in defence. Leon Balogun was subbed off at half-time against St Johnstone in mid-week with an injury and Gerrard has confirmed that he will not be available. As such, Filip Helander should return to the starting line-up.
In midfield, Ryan Jack and Glen Kamara should expect to keep their places. Ianis Hagi, though, could drop out after disappointing against the Saints – he was widely criticised by portions of the club’s fan base, with his 7.02 WhoScored rating the second-lowest amongst those who started for the 54-time Scottish champions. As such, Brandon Barker could come in to replace the £3m signing on the wing, with Joe Aribo moving into the attacking midfield role.
Will Rangers beat Livingston this weekend?
Up front, Alfredo Morelos is expected to once again lead the line. He has two goals in three league games so far this term and Gerrard will be hoping he can add to that tally this afternoon.
