Glasgow Rangers: Fans disgusted by tackle on Kemar Roofe

Glasgow Rangers have picked up another three points, this time against St. Johnstone on Wednesday.
The Gers went into this game on the back of two wins from two matches in the Scottish Premiership, having beaten Aberdeen 1-0 at Pittodrie in the season’s opener before dispatching St. Mirren 3-0. The Ibrox outfit prevailed by the same scoreline against the Saints, with Joe Aribo, Ryan Kent and Borna Barisic all getting themselves on the scoresheet.
Steven Gerrard was even able to give Kemar Roofe his debut for the 54-time Scottish champions, with him coming on with around 30 minutes left. However, it was far from an easy introduction to football north of the border for the 27-year-old, with him on the receiving end of a rather terrible tackle from Liam Gordon soon after coming on.
Should Gordon have been sent off?
Yes

No

Incredibly, Gordon was only given a yellow card – and it is fair to say the Gers supporters were far from happy that he wasn’t sent off, with one even calling it a “shambles”. They took to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
If Roofe’s foot was planted that could’ve easily been a broken leg.

Still raging that wasn’t a red card for the tackle on Roofe. Clear as day.

No the refs will stop us again, you saw the only goal of the League Cup last season and Clancy and Beaton last year, already this season Eduard got away with a punch flagged by the linesman and the tackle on Roofe last night was beyond a disgrace, for which only yellow given.

@MichaelBeale Hope the club contact someone about that ‘challenge’ on Roofe last night. It was an absolutely disgusting attempt at deliberately injuring someone.

The big negative for me was the referee.
Hagi getting leapfrogged, Itten penalty, the red card tackle on Roofe.
Shambles.
