Glasgow Rangers: Fans want Martyn Waghorn back

Five years ago on Tuesday, Glasgow Rangers completed the signing of Martyn Waghorn.
At that point, the striker came off the back of a somewhat disappointing spell at Wigan Athletic, where he managed to scored just eight goals in 41 matches. As he signed along with James Tavernier, there was no indication of what the transfer fee was when he moved to Ibrox.
For the 54-time Scottish champions, though, he proved to be a very astute arrival. In 77 matches for the club, he scored a very impressive 48 goals, including 28 in 37 during the 2015/16 campaign. However, the £3.6m-valued 30-year-old – as per Transfermarkt – stayed only two years north of the border, moving to Ipswich for £990,000 in 2017.
Do you wish Martyn Waghorn were still at Glasgow Rangers?
Yes

No

To celebrate the anniversary of the signings of Waghorn and Tavernier, the official Gers Twitter account shared a photo of their unveiling, and it has attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters – it seems that many would rather he were still at the club.
They have taken to the social media platform to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments below.
