Glasgow Rangers: Gers target Weissman completes move to Real Valladolid - Rangers News

Glasgow Rangers target Shon Weissman has confirmed on Twitter that he is leaving WAC Wolfsberger, with the striker completing a move to Real Valladolid today.

The Gers have been linked with the Israel international, who has just come off the back of a stunning campaign in Austria. In 40 matches in all competitions, he scored a huge 37 goals, which had attracted the interest of Real Valladolid and Galatasaray.

Who scored more goals for the Gers?

In an emotional thread on the social media platform, the 24-year-old said:

“Dear Wolfsberger, After a great year with you, I would like to take the chance to thank you and say goodbye to you. I will never forget the past year! In terms of sport, it was the most successful season of my career.”

Unfortunately for the Ibrox outfit, he will not be making the move to Scotland, with Real Valladolid’s official website and social media channels announcing the completion of his transfer to the La Liga outfit this afternoon.

Given how deadly the £5.4m-valued man – as per Transfermarkt – was last term, Steven Gerrard will no doubt be disappointed not to sign Weissman. However, with Cedric Itten and Kemar Roofe, he has more than enough options as Alfredo Morelos’ situation remains uncertain.
